The Southern Leyte State University recently launched its Goat Raising Project at its campus in Hinunangan.This livelihood initiative is meant to encourage farmers there to raise hybrid goats to increase their income. Test piles for Sogod mega-bridge ready

SOGOD - Critical test piles for the much anticipated P48 million Subang Daku mega-bridge will be driven into the riverbed next week.

These test piles will test the maximum capacity of the river’s subsoil strata to determine how long the actual piles would have to be to withstand the structure’s weight and the vehicles that will use it.

Once completed, the bridge will reduce traffic at the junction of the Daang Maharlika highway.

The bridges would also cut travel time to Libagon, the pacific towns, and the municipalities on Pana-on island.

The mega-bridge which was proposed by Congressman Roger Mercado is being implemented by the DPWH-SLED. (by Engr. Lino Gonzales)
