Young Enage Arrested

TUNGA-TUNGA, MAASIN CITY – A member of the well known Enage family was arrested last July 15 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition by a police team comprised of SPO4 Erineo Selencio and PO2 Aldous Roa.

Police identified the suspect as 32 year old businessman Manuel Enage IV.

The police team was armed with a warrant of arrest signed by Edgardo Leonido the presiding judge of the municipal trial court of Maasin dated July 17.

Enage was later released after posting a bail bond amounting to 60,000 pesos.

Sources claim the case is related to an earlier drug possession complaint filed by the PNP against Enage over a year ago which was dismissed because the search warrant they had was faulty.

Police claimed then that the raiding team found unlicensed firearms and ammunition inside Enage’s room at the family’s ancestral home in Tung-Tunga.

Enage however vehemently denied he owned the weapons. (By ANTHONY KINGS)
