SILAGO - The strategic Himay-angan-Silago-Abuyog Road traversing the eastern coast of Southern Leyte was inaugurated last March 5.The concrete road which cost P764 million has cut travel time from Silago to Tacloban from five to two and a half hours. Among those who attended the event were Governor Damian Mercado (who cut the ceremonial ribbon) Congressman Roger Mercado, DPWH Secretary Victor Domingo, DPWH Regional Director Angelito Tawano, Engineer Carlos Veloso, Representative Carmen Cari and Silago Mayor Manuel Labrador.(By: Mark Rimas)
