Mysterious death baffles experts

MAASIN CITY – The mystery ailment that proved fatal to a 33  year old housewife from barangay Mantahan is still baffling doctors at the provincial hospital.

According to Provincial Health Officer Joselito Trumata the victim had all the symptoms of dengue fever in that she had recurrent fever and rashes over her entire body.

He told SLT that he ordered the victim’s body buried quickly because it may have become a health hazard and that he had her coffin sealed just to make sure.

He assured the public that they had ruled out Bird Flu because the victim had no contact with wild migrating birds which are the carriers of the dreaded and highly contagious virus.
