Maasinhon is new NFA administrator

MALACAÑANG PALACE - Maasin born President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has hand picked and appointed a fellow Maasinhon as the new administrator of the National Food Authority (NFA).

President Duterte administered the oath of office of Jason Laureano Aquino last January 9, 2017 at the historic Heroes Hall of Malacañang Palace.

Jason Laureano Aquino is the son of the late military officer Jaime Aquino and Helen Aquino a retired midwife who is residing in barangay Mambajao, Maasin City.

On January 11, NFA Deputy Administrator and Officer-in-Charge Tomas R. Escarez turned over the symbolic key of responsibility to Aquino as the new NFA Administrator in simple rites held at the NFA Board Room, Sugar Center Building, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.

Witnessing the turnover were the other members of the Executive Committee composed of Deputy Administrator for Finance and Administration Ludovico J. Jarina, Assistant Administrator for Finance and Administration Ruben J. Reside and Assistant Administrator for Marketing Operations Maria Mercedes G. Yacapin. Also present during the turn over ceremonies were NFA executives from Central and Field Offices.
