Maasin is still "Gibo Country"

Gilbert “GIBO” Teodoro recently visited Maasin City to bolster his beleagered campaign for the presidency in the May 2010 Election.

He was also the guest of honor at the anniversary celebration of the First Roman Catholic Mass in the Philippines and the Far East on Limasawa Island, but could not attend the affair due to bad weather.

“I am campaigning to become your next commander in chief and am extremely encouraged by the warm reception I have received from Southern Leytenos.

He promised that “If I win the presidency, I assure you all, that my office and home will be open 24 hours a day for your Congressman Roger Mercado and your Governor Mian Mercado who have supported me 100 percent throughout my campaign!”

Although Teodoro had the flu, he enthusiastically addressed the huge crowd comprised largely of barangay leaders at the City Gym where he and his running mate Edu Manzano and their senatorial bets were warmly welcomed. (By NOEME MONTALBO)
