“Loonie” to rap in Maasin

April 15 - 21, 2017

MANTAHAN – “Crazy master of rhymes” Filipino rapper Marlon Peroramas, also
known as “Loonie,” who made a name for himself in the battle rap community, will be holding a free performance this coming May 18 at barangay Mantahan, Maasin City.

Mantahan Barangay Captain Rafi Omega said that “Rapista sa Mantahan,” is a jamming event where local rappers, avid rap fanatics and musically-inclined Maasinhons are expected to join and make their own noise on the said musical event.

The well-known rapper earned the Best Rap Recording award and Best Original
Song with his popular “Tao Lang.”

Omega said that the music event is one of the barangay’s activities for the coming village fiesta in May.

“As of now, we are still looking for more sponsors to shoulder the event and most of them we got were residents from Mantahan village,” Omega ended.

Organizers of the event are the Mantahan Barangay Council and Mantahan Youth Association (MYA).(By MARK L. RIMAS)
