Local Artist Shines Abroad

Dino Dante “Caiz” Pajao, a young artist from Tunga-tunga, Maasin city has made Maasinhons proud as his water colour paintings are making waves abroad particularly in Singapore.

Dino said that he was grateful for the opportunity to be part of the legendary Singapore Watercolour Society (SWS), said to be the oldest group of water colour artists in Singapore.

Dino and six other Filipino artists represented the Philippines in the recently concluded Asian International Water colour Exhibition in China. Dino who is 34 has also co-founded MANTSA or Maasinhong Abilidad Nagkahiusa Tumong sa Arte, together with Dennis Lim, Menelio “Jham” Hatayna Jr., and other budding artists in Maasin city.

On December 26, 2010, MANTSA will be conducting a free workshop dubbed as “Sketch Walk” Fast and Loose Art 2010 at the Maasin City Plaza.
