First Mass celebration security

March 18 - 24, 2017

CAMP BANTUG – The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday that it has eyed its preparation in securing the public on any possible threats during the 496th First Mass commemoration in Limasawa Island.

Provincial Director Warren De Leon said various police units have been coordinating to thwart possible attempts during the religious celebration.

He also added that more policemen will be deployed to secure traffic control in Padre Burgos and crowd control in Limasawa.

Police intelligence monitoring will also be observed by uniformed and non-uniformed personel.

The PNP is reminding those who are planning to attend the celebration to keep safe always and be vigilant on their personal belongings.

“The PNP would do its best to ensure the security and safety of our people,” the director said.(By MARK L. RIMAS)
