City Police undergo drug test

MAASIN CITY -  The newly established Southern Leyte PNP Crime Laboratory unit conducted drug tests on all 53 city police officers last Friday.

Police Inspector Joseph Infante said none of them were taking illegal drugs  and they are now preparing to conduct drug testing of policemen in the Pacific towns of Silago, Hinunangan, Hinundayan, Anahawan and San Juan.

Police Inspector Randy Dagatan  added that they were planning to conduct clinics in every barangay of Maasin to teach barangay officials how to secure crime scenes without destroying vital evidence which could ensure the conviction of crime suspects.(By ANGELYN BOOK)
