Bus Kills 3 in Bantig Fiesta

BARANGAY SAN RAFAEL, MAASIN CITY – Two youngsters and a middle aged man were killed here when a speeding bus rammed into two house filled with fiesta celebrants last Sunday.

Six other guests were seriously injured in the accident which police claim was the worst in the barangay’s history. Killed in the accident were 7 year old Roselyn Jesseca Tantoy, 9 year old Jonas Nalasa Adobas and 46 year old Rudy Mahipos Mahinay.

Also injured in the freak accident were Prudencio Cardoza Ordiz, Margarito Jason Tayur, Joremel Nalasa Adobas and Liza Jesseca Tantoy.

Witnesses claim the wayward bust rammed into the houses of Soledad Capitrano and Rudy Narca while their guests were injoying their lunch. The driver Kenny Timkang Libutan who insists his brakes had failed is now in police custody.
