AUMAN IS MATRON QUEEN

SUNKEN GARDEN – Maria Lyn Diola Auman, a mother of three children, and a native of Maria Clara, Maasin City was hailed and crowned as Southern Leyte’s Matron Queen for 2017 last Thursday evening at the Sunken Garden, Capitol Grounds.

Ms. Auman, a government employee, was the chosen candidate of the Provincial Government of Southern Leyte obtaining a total of P2,133,000 million accumulated money, with a difference of only P15,000 from the first runner-up.

Mayors League candidate Pacita Almine was 1st runner-up, garnering a total cash worth P2,118,000, tracked by Padre Burgos’ Vice Mayor Maria Fe Barcelon Poblete, representing the Vice Mayors League with P1,150,000 in her ballot box.

Among the candidates that were cited were 3rd runner-up Dainty Daling, a former Ms. Maasin runner-up representing the City Government of Maasin, with P418,660; 4th runner-up Susan De Jesus, mother-in-law of Mayor Nacional ‘Nikko’ Mercado, represented the National Line Agencies, with P211,086; 5th runner-up was the Association of Barangay Captains’ pride Carolina Garzon with P141,900; 6th runner-up was DepEd’s representative Rosabel Matacot, with P139,216 and 7th runner-up Lolita Apat, candidate of the Philippine Councilors’ League, with P58,000.

The Matron Queen idea dawned from the thought of giving eternal praise, love
and gratitude to all Southern Leyteño mothers and wives.

Auman was escorted by Provincial Governor Damian G. Mercado during the royal dance.

The fund raising event was organized by the Provincial Assessor’s Office led by
